my mom was 17 when the furnace in my apartment got...
annnd you guessed it! its days are over. so we’re waiting on my landlord to sign off on buying an entire new furnace, and then it’ll take about a half a day to install.

am i the only one who thinks watching it’s a wonderful life every year isn’t some archaic ritual exalting nostalgia and dated cinematography? even my friend’s ~65-year-old dad looked at me with almost pity when i said it was my favorite holiday movie, and promptly exclaimed, “Elf!” when asked the same question.
